T.I. and Killer Mike bring Love and Light to Grove Park Families
Bankhead Seafood owners Killer Mike and T.I partnered with community advocate and neighbor LaTonya Johnston founder of PAW Kids (a Grove Park based not for profit serving Grove Park families with programming, resources and after school enrichment) for a Day of Giving kick-off event. Harris and Render have partnered with the Atlanta nonprofit organization PAWkids to distribute 1,000 meals each week to families in need in the area.
Rolanda Powell host Center Hill 1st Annual Movie Night
Center Hill Resident and CHNA Board Member Rolanda Powell has hit the ground running since Moving to the area in 2018. On June 22, she’ll be celebrating the one-year anniversary of buying her first home in the Center Hill Community.

MARTA forced to reduces service due to labor shortage
MARTA will make temporary service modifications to its bus service beginning Saturday, Dec. 18, to address a shortage of bus operators. All 113 current bus routes will remain operational, with the majority, 96 routes, operating on a Saturday schedule.
Westside Park Equitable Development Task Force Resources and Upcoming Meetings
In February 2020, City officials and councilmembers attended a special called meeting of the Grove Park Neighborhood Association. Residents were increasingly concerned about the Westside Park’s impact on the community, including transportation and mobility, small businesses and the Donald Lee Hollowell business corridor, quality of life, and most importantly, housing affordability. The work on the first phase of the park was nearing completion, and little had been done to engage the residents who live closest and would be most impacted around issues of housing, transportation, and other critical quality of life issues.
